DSA 2025 | Direct School Admission Process & Timeline
While the official DSA application dates have yet to be released, the overall timeline has remained fairly consistent over the years.
Below is a typical DSA timeline:
January - May
Explore school choices - If your child hasn’t decided on a school yet, keep an eye out for school open houses happening in April and May. Visiting different schools will give you a better idea of what each one offers and help you see whether it’s a good fit for your child.
May - June
Apply - After exploring your options and shortlisting suitable schools, you can submit your child’s application through the DSA-Sec Portal.
June - August
Attend interviews, auditions or trials - Each school has its own selection process, so be sure to check the individual school websites for specific details. If shortlisted, your child will need to attend interviews, auditions, or trials conducted by the respective schools.
September
Results - Students will receive DSA-Sec offers / waitlist / rejection from schools directly.
October
Select preferred school - Select up to three schools in order of preference through the DSA-Sec Portal.
Just a heads-up: you’ll need to choose the school before the PSLE results are out.
November
Receive school allocation results - School allocation results will be released together with the PSLE results. To secure the confirmed offer, your child needs to get a PSLE score that qualifies for a Posting Group offered by the school.
